A. Please help your child memorize duaa الطهارة and the importance of being clean both inside and outside by seeking forgiveness. Encourage them to recite it after performing Wudu.
B. Memorize Surat الكوثر. The kids have until the end of January to finish Surat الكوثر, after which we will start a new Surah.

3. Qur’an/Hadeeth:
A. Review the Five Pillars of Islam and the hadeeth:
“وتميط الأذى عن الطريق صدقة”
Small actions, such as caring about the safety of others, are as important when done for the sake of Allah.
B. Memorize Surat التكاثر. Next Saturday is the last day for the kids to finish memorizing the surah and receive a prize for it.
4. Reading Test:
• The following students will be tested on reading pages 45-46. This is a great chance to review previously learned vocabulary:

Assalamu Alaikum everyone, and Ramadan Mubarak!
This month, we will be learning about Ramadan, In shaa Allah. On Saturday, we discussed how Ramadan is a special month for training our Souls (Nafs) —just like we train our muscles! During this blessed month, we work on improving our actions, building good habits, and strengthening our connection with Allah so that these habits stay with us throughout the year, In shaa Allah.
📌 Reading Test:
Many of the kids are still struggling with reading. The purpose of the reading test is to encourage regular practice at home to help them improve.
Please support your child in preparing for the test. The following students will be tested on pages 85-86-87:

📌 Writing/Vocabulary Test:
Next Saturday, the kids will have a test on the letters ع - ي - ظ. Please help your child practice writing and recognizing words that contain these letters.

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well! May Allah accept your fasting and bless you all.
On Saturday, we learned the Duaa for Iftar to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) and discussed its meaning—expressing gratitude for having food and hope that Allah will accept our fasting:
اللهم لك صمت وعلى رزقك أفطرت ذهب الظمأ وابتلت العروق وثبت الأجر إن شاء الله
The kids are encouraged to memorize this duaa to earn 5 tickets!
We also had our vocabulary test, which is done in two steps:
1️⃣ First, the kids have 10 minutes to try to remember and write the words on their own.
2️⃣ Then, we go over the words together, and they attempt to spell them correctly.
Your child’s test is glued into their dictionary notebook for review.
📌 Reading Test:
This is a great opportunity for students to review previously learned vocabulary and practice reading. Many students are still struggling with reading, so please help your child prepare.

“من صام رمضان إيمانا واحتسابا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه”

2️⃣Vocabulary: Complete the worksheet on the letter خ in the dictionary notebook.Some students have been forgetting to complete this, so please remind them!

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well!
We are continuing our discussion about the month of Ramadan. This Saturday, we talked about Laylatul Qadr (ليلة القدر) what?when?and what to do in laylatu el Qadr and we looked at the hadith:
“من قام ليلة القدر إيماناً واحتساباً غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه”
We also compared this hadith to the one we learned last week:
“من صام رمضان إيمانا واحتسابا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه”
This shows how merciful Allah is—giving us two special chances in Ramadan for our sins to be forgiven. If we fall short in our fasting, feeling frustrated or impatient, Laylatul Qadr becomes another chance for us to seek forgiveness.
🛑 This Week’s Homework:
No writing or vocabulary homework!
1️⃣ Memorize the du’a that the Prophet ﷺ used to repeat in the last ten nights of Ramadan:
اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عني
“O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love to forgive, so forgive me.”
2️⃣ Memorize Surat Ad-Duha (سورة الضحى)
3️⃣ Review Surat Al-Qadr (سورة القدر)
📌 End-of-Year Quran Assessments:
In May, the kids will have their end-of-year assessments. For Quran, they will be asked to recite three surahs randomly from the seven we learned this year:
• Surat At-Takathur (سورة التكاثر)
• Surat Al-Qari’ah (سورة القارعة)
• Surat Az-Zalzalah (سورة الزلزلة)
• Surat At-Tin (سورة التين)
• Surat Al-Humazah (سورة الهمزة)
• Surat Ad-Duha (سورة الضحى)
• Surat Al-Qadr (سورة القدر)
Please encourage the kids to review these surahs, as some of them have started to forget parts.
